Is pizza unhealthy?

                                    Is Pizza Unhealthy?




                     Pizza can be quite healthy. Whole wheat or grain-free crust (whichever best suits dietary needs), a small to moderate amount of cheese or dairy-free alternative, lots of roasted veggies (onion, bell peppers, broccoli, ect.) homemade pizza sauce, and lean meats if you so desire. Pizzas on the "less healthy" side of the spectrum are genrally pre-packsged, high in sodium/preservatives, made with white flour crust, topped with processed meat(s) and tomato sauce that contains added sodium/sugar, and have few to no vegetables. However, thats not to say frozen pizzas of such ilk cant be enjoyed from time to time.

                       As others have said, its the excessive cheese and processed meat! Keep it veggie, or use prawns, chicken, or good qualty meat, and add heaps of veggies. I find using cheeses like boccoccini or feta insteaad of mozza keep  the fat level down- and they are really tasty!!

                                Today i interviewed our school lunch lady here at wyoming high school. The lady i interviewed goes by the name of jody roberts. Here are some question i asked her.


              1. How is the menu determined every week?
                  Jody-"through cartwells"

               2. What happend to the full size subs like last year?
                    Jody-"the government changed that"

                3. What happend to the pickled product items?
                    jody-"its to high on sodium"

                4. Why are there no nacho chips with the mexican meal?
                    jody-"its another grain and we can only have so many grains."

                5. Why cant we go to another line to get fruit just in case the kind we wants run out?
                     jody-"because every line has the same fruit"

                6. How long have you worked in food service.
                    jody-"21 years"

healthy foods!

                                 healthy foods!


                          all foods aren't healthy, such as fried chicken, fried cabbage, fried french fries. well i"m guessing you all get it now. Mainly all fried foods are unhealthy! even though some fried foods taste way better than boiled or baked foods doesn't mean anything at all. FRIED foods are so unhealthy people. So i guess that's enough said about how unhealthy fried foods are so let me give you a few examples of healthy food you can eat instead of fried foods.
                            some things you can eat instead of fried foods are baked chicken with  mashed potato's but just don't put a lot of butter. You also can eat salads or veggies. or you can eat subs but the healthy subs. now don't get me wrong just because fried foods are unhealthy doesn't mean that we cant eat fried foods every once in a while just don't make it something you do everyday.

                    subway is a place for everyone to eat at. now when you eat at subway its up to you rather your eating healthy or not. a example of a unheal thy meal at subway could be a sum with lots of chese on white bead with lots of mayo. now a healthy sub would be wheat bread with  just a little mayo and a normal portion of chease and meat. now when it comes to the snacks you could get achoclate chip cookie. there isnt  really alot of healthy snacks to choose from at subway ecept for a bag of backed chips.

Food you should try from Mcdonals if you want to stay healthy.

Some of Mcdonals food can be unhealthy and you could have high blood pressure and you can get obesity.Mcdonals offers alot of healthy choices.For breakfast some of their healthy foods for breakfast is  Egg McMuffin , English Muffin  and  new Fruit & Maple Oatmeal with 290 calories, 4.5 g fat, 1.5 g saturated fat, 0 g trans fat, 57 g carbohydrate, 5 g fiber and.TRY IT!!!!!!!!

 

Most americans when they go to mcdonals they get a burger and a fries but, there is something way healthier then that and that is a grilled chinken Ranch Snack Wrap.

It is alot of things at Mcdonals that is healthy for you. PUT THE BURGERS AND FRIES DOWN AND TRY SOMETHING NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are popular foods teenagers like to eat?

Some teenagers like to eat anything that is in a packet like chocolate,sweets,oreos,and chips.For some meals they like to eat burgers,fries,hot dogs,hot cheetos and buffets but the most popular thing is pizza.

Teenagers love junk food, but on the other hand some teens love to eat fruits and vegetables. Just be healthy!!!!!!

At momo's the price of seafood on the menu has raised by 10% to offset rising costs,but its the smallest resurunts that are getting hit the hardest. Resturants are doing eveything they can to keep their customers happy. some of them are even revaping menus. the bad news is that officials with the food industry say the worst is yet to come. the problems are going to start next year maybe in the early summer. anaylist expect overall food costs to rise by as much as 20% by years end. so to me in my opinion i really think that we shoulds try to do something about our prices going up like boycott or something for them to go down because i dont know about you but i love going out to eat.

Change the menu!

                                              Change The Menu!!



         Everyday we have the same foods in our cafateira. the same oh thing everyday such as tocas, subs, pizza, toast sanwhichs, and whatever is on the menu everyday. I mean im not trying to talk bad about the school food but it really isnt all that. we need some real food, soul food, something thats gone get us filled up for the rest of the day.
        Some foods that i would like to have at our school for lunch is, chicken (fried chicken) not frozen chicken that gets warmed up we want our chicken hot out the cooking oil and with that chicken I either want fries or mashed potatos and green beans. some other foods that we want at lunch time in our school cafateira is steaks with mac and chease but we dont want dried up mac n chease we want it good and wet and cheasey.
        The last thing im going to say about the school food is the beverages we dont want to drink milk everyday makes me feel like im in jail we want pop, kool-aid, bottled water, or juice. and yea ok we can drink milk every once in a while but not everyday and we shouldnthave to pay for a little pop a day at lunch we should get pop everyday just like we get white and choclate milk everyday if you ask me I would never understand what we eat and drink everyday.

Obesity means having to much body fat.What are some ways you can avoid obesity?
 
 
       You can stay active by exerising,you also can make sure your healthy by only eating 2,000 calories per day. some foods you can eat to stay healthy are dairy , meat, bread,fruit,vegetables, and legumes.

you can watch your weight by weighing yourself once a week, you can drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. you also can only eat when your hungry it helps to aviod obesity.

wyoming high lunch room food!

at our school wyoming high we have alot to choose from everyday in our lunch room. we have a sub line, taco line, pizza line, grill chesse line, and we have a line that changes up there meals daily. sometimes we may get mad about what they serve certain days but over all they feed us the healthiest food that they can feed us at school. in the morning time for breakfast you have a choice to either get an orange juice, apple juice, or a grape juice. they also give us diffrent foods to pick from in the morning time like they cook something diffrent every morning, they have ceral, muffins, and bagels. here are some examples of what our school foood looks like.
